June 10th is “Time Memorial Day,” commemorating the first timekeeping system introduced in Japan.
In the lobby of the Nagoya Kanko Hotel, there are two clocks that evoke a sense of the passage of time.
One of them is the world clock mounted on the lobby wall.
Designed by ceramic artist Yusuke Aida, it harmonizes beautifully with the lobby space.
The other one is the grandfather clock that was manufactured when the hotel first opened.
Passed down from the days of the old building, it was carefully preserved on the premises for a time, but after being restored, it has begun to mark the passage of time once again.
Each clock has been a part of the hotel’s history and has witnessed the memories of countless guests.

名古屋観光ホテルのロビーには、時の流れを感じさせる2つの時計があります。
ひとつは、ロビーの壁面に設置された世界時計。
陶芸家・會田雄亮（あいだゆうすけ）氏によるデザインで、ロビー空間に美しく調和しています。
もうひとつは、ホテル開業当時に製造された柱時計。
旧館時代から受け継がれ、一時は館内で大切に保管されていましたが、その後修復され、再び時を刻み始めました。
それぞれの時計は、ホテルの歴史とともに歩み、多くのお客様の思い出を見守ってきました。

Tango no Sekku is a traditional Japanese celebration that wishes for the healthy growth and happiness of boys.
At the Espacio Lounge, we offered a selection of festival-inspired items, including chimaki (rice dumplings), kashiwa mochi, and charming seasonal sweets.
At breakfast, a special live kitchen menu was also featured, allowing guests to enjoy the fresh flavors of spring.
We also displayed a traditional samurai helmet, bringing a touch of the season to the space.

端午の節句は男の子の健やかな成長と幸せを願う日本の伝統行事です。
エスパシオラウンジでは、ちまきや柏餅をはじめ、愛らしいスイーツなど、節句にちなんだ品々をご用意。
朝食ではライブキッチンに特別メニューも登場し、春の味覚をお愉しみいただきました。
また、兜飾りも展示し、季節の趣をお届けいたしました。
