We are pleased to welcome an instructor from Kirie Fabbrica, a creative brand run by "Suzuki Shi-Kojo" based in Yatomi City, Aichi Prefecture, which celebrates its 55th anniversary.
Yatomi City, Aichi Prefecture, is also known as one of Japan’s leading goldfish production areas, and in this experience, you’ll get to work with paper cutting designs featuring the motif of goldfish.
Using Mino washi paper, you’ll complete the background with torn paper art and then assemble paper cutting pieces featuring symbols of summer, such as Yatomi City’s famous "goldfish" and the cool "swimming penguin". This creates a piece full of seasonal charm.
It’s an experience where you can enjoy the joy of crafting while feeling the gentle texture and warmth of the paper. It’s open to everyone, from children to adults, so feel free to join!

The "Mizu-Uchiwa" (water fan) began to be made by fan craftsmen who moved from Kyoto to Gifu in the mid-Meiji era. It is a delicate and beautiful traditional craft nurtured in Gifu, known for its high-quality bamboo and paper, as well as the culture of the clear Nagara River.
The fan is decorated with artwork on ultra-thin Gampi paper from Mino, carefully attached one by one to the bamboo ribs, finished with natural lacquer. It is carefully crafted and continues to be made with great care using natural materials and traditional methods. It shall be a highly appreciated gift.

創業55年を迎える愛知県・弥富市の「株式会社 鈴木紙工所」が手がけるクリエイティブブランド「Kirie Fabbrica(きりえファブリカ)」より講師をお迎えします。
愛知県弥富市は、全国有数の金魚の産地としても知られており、
本体験ではその「金魚」をモチーフとしたきり絵にも触れていただけます。
美濃和紙を使って背景をちぎり絵で仕上げ、夏を象徴する弥富市の特産「金魚」や、見た目にも涼を感じる「泳ぐペンギン」などのきり絵パーツを貼り合わせて、季節感あふれる一枚に仕上げます。
紙の優しい風合いや温もりを感じながら、ものづくりの楽しさを味わえる体験です。

Paper Cutting Fan Making Experience
"Uchiwa" (Japanese fan) is a companion to Japan’s summer.
Why not create your own original fan, decorated with delicate paper cutting designs?
We are pleased to welcome an instructor from Kirie Fabbrica, a creative brand run by "Suzuki Shi-Kojo" based in Yatomi City, Aichi Prefecture, which celebrates its 55th anniversary.
Yatomi City, Aichi Prefecture, is also known as one of Japan’s leading goldfish production areas, and in this experience, you’ll get to work with paper cutting designs featuring the motif of goldfish.
Using Mino washi paper, you’ll complete the background with torn paper art and then assemble paper cutting pieces featuring symbols of summer, such as Yatomi City’s famous "goldfish" and the cool "swimming penguin". This creates a piece full of seasonal charm.
It’s an experience where you can enjoy the joy of crafting while feeling the gentle texture and warmth of the paper. It’s open to everyone, from children to adults, so feel free to join!

伝統的工芸品「岐阜提灯」を手がける安藤商店様のご協力のもと、涼やかな「水うちわ」を展示しております。
「水うちわ」は、明治中期に京都から岐阜へ移り住んだうちわ職人によって作られ始めました。
良質な竹や紙の産地である岐阜、そして清流・長良川の川文化の中で育まれた、繊細で美しい伝統工芸品です。
美濃の極薄の雁皮紙に絵付けを施し、竹の骨に一枚一枚丁寧に貼り合わせ、仕上げには天然ニスを使用。
自然素材を用い、昔ながらの製法で大切に作り続けられているため、贈り物としても大変喜ばれます。
展示は8月31日までご覧いただけます。

In collaboration with "Ando Shoten", who specializes in traditional crafts such as the "Gifu Lantern," we are showcasing the refreshing "Mizu-Uchiwa" (water fan), at the 6th-floor front reception and the exclusive floor ESPACIO on 18th floor.
The "Mizu-Uchiwa" (water fan) began to be made by fan craftsmen who moved from Kyoto to Gifu in the mid-Meiji era.
It is a delicate and beautiful traditional craft nurtured in Gifu, known for its high-quality bamboo and paper, as well as the culture of the clear Nagara River.
The fan is decorated with artwork on ultra-thin Gampi paper from Mino, carefully attached one by one to the bamboo ribs, finished with natural lacquer.
It is carefully crafted and continues to be made with great care using natural materials and traditional methods.
It shall be a highly appreciated gift.
The exhibition is available for viewing until August 31st.
